Persimmon
The oriental persimmon is native to China, where it has been cultivated for centuries and more than two thousand different cultivars exist. It spread to Korea and Japan many years ago where additional cultivars were developed. Seeds first reached the United States in 1856 when they were sent from Japan by Commodore Perry. Persimmon by Demeter Fragrance Library is citrus with a hint of sweetness, but overwhelmingly, the nature of the fragrance is fresh, crisp and clean.
