"This is a wonderful chocolate smell! I love it also layered with dark chocolate but when you compare the two, this one has a cream cheese frosting smell that the other one doesn’t (most likely what Demeter adds as their “cake” note since I also detect this note in their vanilla cake batter). If you want to smell like chocolate, you can’t go wrong with this one, it’s as simple as that."

"Because holy crap. This is great. This is GREAT. It smells like a very rich, dark chocolate cake that is currently baking -- that wonderful smell that permeates the entire house? I kind of expected this perfume to smell like frosting for some reason (was thinking it would smell like that lame, chemical-laced, chocolate frosting that comes in a tub) but nope. Nope. This smells just like a real cake is baking and I don't understand it. It's wonderful. Demeter, you guys are evil, making all of these great perfumes! A note I'm attaching to all my reviews now though -- if you order the sample size? Try it as soon as you get it. I ordered 5 different sample scents. Two bottles wouldn't spray at all, one just dribbles, so their recent batches seem to have a strangely high failure rate? Although none of my previous orders from them did this at all. I feel bad though because I ended up having to make separate requests for replacements, and that's just unnecessary shipping, when if I had just tested them all at once, the replacements could've been shipped together... so just be aware that there may be a quality control issue with the actual bottle itself (only trial size, I've never had any problems at all with the glass bottles) and make sure to order it in time to get a replacement for whenever you need it, in case your bottle fails on you. But that being said -- try this scent. It's great!"

"Initial spray, it smells exactly like delicious Devils food cake. I only wish it would have stayed this way; it is had, I would be a solid fan. However, after about 1 minute it goes from smelling exactly like Devils food to loosing it the allure. It still has a bit of a cocoa vibe but the "cake" is gone."
