Fantastic scent - will work BOTH as Magnolia AND Peony!

"I just went through 4 "Magnolia" and 4 "Peony" perfumes from around the world and Demeter's "Magnolia" is easily No 1. or No. 2, AND it's more affordable. The scent is light, which is true to "Peony" scent, and "Magnolia" scent isn't naturally strong either. But, if you're planning on wearing "Magnolia" scent in the summer, either bring Demeter's with you, to re-apply on regular basis, or keep looking - there are a couple scents in Mexico and Italy that are pretty close. . and seem a tad stronger"

Maybe it's just me

"I'm thinking maybe my body chemistry just does weird stuff with florals. I love fresh Magnolia, and they are blooming all over the place right now. I was hoping to find something that would tide me over between seasons when they're not blooming. I sprayed it on my wrist and after an almost nano-second of authentic magnolia glory, it instantly turned into 'dirty sock'... phew. I has a tremendous sad."

Pretty, powdery, not what I was actually hoping for.

"This is a pretty floral scent, but one of the initial notes -- a very baby-powdery scent -- was off-putting. That settled down after a while, but the floral underneath it felt a little generic. In truth, I was hoping to recapture the scent of Yves Rocher's "Magnolia," a fragrance I loved in the '80s and haven't found since, but this one didn't hit the mark. I think it will be quite fun and pleasant for anyone who doesn't have their heart set on that specific scent."

Magnolia

"Hi. I had the same experience as another reviewer- no scent at all from the bottle I was delivered. Sounds like a faulty batch. I would love a replacement!"

It's close

"Last month, I bought 7 Demeter samples to choose a fragrance that perfectly captured one of my favorite flowers. I tried Honeysuckle, Jasmine, Gardenia, Orange Blossom, Twilight Orchid, Lilac and Magnolia. I'm leaving a review for each of them. I have a magnolia tree in my front yard, so I know exactly what the blooms smell like. This fragrance is really close, but there is an undertone that reminds me of baby oil or some other baby-related product. It wasn't an unpleasant scent, but I smelled that smell more than I smelled the floral. I think this is definitely a scent worth trying, it just isn't my favorite. I'm back to purchase jasmine!"

Charmingly Sweet

"This is a lovely sweeter floral that's a perfect late spring scent. Since moving to Pennsylvania I've fallen in love with the Magnolia trees, and this captures that fresh, sweet scent of the blossoms very well. One of my favorite Demeter purchases so far!"
