"I received my Demeter order nearly a month after placing it, and every single cotton candy product smells like artificial grape cough syrup. I have purchased Demeter’s cotton candy scent in the past and it was amazing, this batch is nothing like that. There is absolutely no cotton candy scent here, just an overpowering, cheap grape note that never dries down and is honestly nauseating. If this is due to a formula change, quality control issue, or new management, it’s a massive downgrade."

I would say it actually smells like a combination of peaches and peach candy, especially those classic peach rings; There's fresh peach smell there, but also more artificial [though still delectable] candy scent. As it wears, it gets sweeter and more candy-like. I might classify this as more gourmand, less truly realistic fruit. As other reviewers have noted, there's a definite softness to it. It manages to be sweet and fruity without reading as cheap or too immature. It leans a lot towards the traditionally feminine scents in presentation [it'd be lovely on anyone though]. The strength is solid, but noticeably on the lighter side- if someone gets close they can smell it, but it's never overpowering. You need to apply somewhat heavily to get it to 'strong'. There is ok longevity- it lasts maybe 4 hours on me, pretty average for Demeter. The light, unspecific sweetness lasts on the skin longer than the core of the scent. It blends and mixes beautifully with other scents, both Demeter and otherwise. I get headaches from anything notably floral or musky, and get no problems from this scent. A wonderful perfume overall, I'd highly recommend it for anyone that enjoys candy-like, fruity scents."
