"I like it. Such a unique scent. Hard to describe but on my skin its quite aromatic, a little sour? Maybe a hint of nostalgia. . ."

"Not much projection on this oil, as far as I can tell. It smells lovely, but I don't notice it at all unless I'm specifically going to check on it."

Smells Like Rye Bread -But Not for Me

"I got a mini purse spray to try out this scent. As others have said it does smell like caraway and a sourdoughy, yeasty scent. I think I was hoping it would smell more like bread baking. This fragrance achieves what it sets out to do, but I don't really find the scent pleasant and don't think wearing it is for me."

Disappointing

"I wanted a bread scent and this is the only one Demeter sells. I decided to try it but I was disappointed with the scent. It doesn’t smell like bread to me. It smells more like raw dough and nutmeg."

Wow

"This smells exactly like rye bread! It isn't very strong, but that actually makes it more wearable than a rye bread perfume sounds. You end up just smelling inexplicably good and comforting, which is better imo than hitting people in the face with an overwhelming caraway smell. One of my favorites!"

Yum

"This is an instant favorite - smells like you're sticking your head in a fresh loaf of rye bread. Makes me hungry! There is a top note of something more unexpected, kind of cookie/marshmallow like, but as it settles it's rye. (For perspective, I like hyperrealistic scents, my favorites so far are Tomato, Black Pepper, Hibiscus, Beetroot, and Rye Bread.)"

Accurate smell of Caraway seed; not a good body scent for me

"Demeter often "nails" the scent right on the head, and this is an example of that. Rye bread is not only the smell of rye flour, but also the smell of caraway seed. This scent is exactly that, but INTENSE, as if you buried your face deep into a fresh loaf of jewish Rye with a LOT of caraway seed. So it is a little intense by itself and definitely has a sharp, pungent "edge", but I have successfully blended this with some softer notes."

warm and cozy

"Rye Bread! Sounds like a weird idea, but actually doesn't come off as a novelty scent. It's got a warm, soft, light bread-y sweetness, but after a minute, it becomes more specifically rye. Just a tinge of sour yeast, but that is WAY less scary than it sounds, i assure you! It's surprisingly unisex, too. I would like it on my guy as much as I would wear it myself."

Surprisingly lovely!

"It contradicts itself: this is definitely the smell of rye bread, caraway and yeast; but it is also unmistakably something that smells very, very good on me as a perfume. Sweet yeast but cut with the sharp, smart scent of the caraway seeds. I really like it."

Rye Goodness!!

"Wow this smells so much like my favorite rye bread. It's so true to the scent that I don't smell anything additional in there & think if I took a blind smell test I'd not be able to distinguish between this and a real loaf :) Thank you Demeter! Also, it's nice for both guys & girls."
