"This is probably the only Demeter fragrance I did not like. It smells much more like a perfume than cookies or butter as you would expect with a shortbread. Disappointed in this one."

Surprised by how much I dislike this

"I love gourmand scents, so I was surprised not to like this. It smells like pure fake butter to me, and I don't get the sweetness at all."

needs more oomph

"This is lovely, cozy, warm, sweet and cookie-ish, but it could stand to be a lot more distinctive. If I didn't already know what Demeter Sugar Cookie smells like, you could tell me that's what this was, and I'd believe you!"

Smells like cherry almond cookies

"To me this has pretty strong notes of cherry and almond upfront- a bit like amaretto. Then as it settles it's a more buttery cookie scent. Warm and delightful. I didn't know what to expect, but this is a yummy food scent."

smells delicious

"this smells almost just like sugar cookies."

Average

"I was expecting that kind of buttery salty/sweet smell of shortbread.... It lacks it. Just kind of average. Not a bad smell at all, but I certainly wouldn't know it was supposed to be shortbread unless I was looking at the label."

Meh

"A solid 3.5. Nice enough, and it definitely gives of a warm, sweet vibe, but to me it smells awfully similar to Sugar Cookie, only less nuanced and with a little less sweetness. It doesn't seem to have much staying power either; after only a few minutes on my skin it's as if I never even put it on."

Good for Burns Night!

"This is nice. It smells very much like a yummy sweet biscuit, or bakery, but not quite as buttery as real Shortbread. I even went to the cupboard to sniff some Walkers shortbread, just to compare. Unfortunately, it takes about an hour for Demeter's Scottish Shortbread to smell more natural, and closer to the real thing. But by then it has faded and is not strong enough... It is a very pleasant, sweet, warm fragrance though. I will probably buy some Scottish Shortbread (and Heather) for one of my Scottish cousins for her birthday later this year, even if it is not 100% accurate, it is a lovely concept. I'll layer it with Heather to make it extra Scottish for Burns Night :)"
