"I have no idea what they were going for here but vanilla has nothing to do with it. Maybe it’s the bark part. It smells like chemicals and something disgusting that I can’t even describe. This is going into the trash. I don’t even know who I could give this to. Truly, this smells vile."

But when it arrived, it was clear Demeter had changed the recipe. The dry, spicy, bark-forward note has been replaced with a powdery, cloying, old lady note reminiscent of Guerlain. I am heartbroken. I don’t want a look-alike, I want an original! Bring back your unique vanilla bark blend, Demeter!"

"This was surprisingly nice to me. I'd no expectations prior to trying it as some other reviewers didn't like it. It smells quite spicy in the beginning, kind of like a medicated type product, but then it dries down to a soft, powdery, comforting and slightly woody/bark-ish scent with a hint of spice (not sharp) that's really quite unique and smells good to me. I'm now thinking of ordering the 1 oz spray bottle :) Another Demeter Naturals perfume I really like is Lavender, which is perhaps my favourite of the lot."
